Fares depend on the route and seat class. Short hops such as Mombasa to Mtwapa start at KES 300, Nairobi to Mombasa runs KES 1,700 – 2,500, and cross-border trips such as Nairobi to Kampala run KES 2,500 – 5,000. The full price list for all 62 routes is published on the bus fares page.

Standard seats are priced at the lower end of each route fare range. VIP seats sit in the first two rows of the coach, offer the most legroom and recline, and are priced at the upper end of the range. Both classes are shown side by side on the seat map before you pay, so you always see the exact price for the seat you pick.

The Nairobi to Mombasa fare is KES 1,700 – 2,500 depending on seat class, and the trip takes about 8–10 hours. Mombasa to Nairobi is priced the same way.

Yes. Nairobi to Kampala is KES 2,500 – 5,000 and takes 11–13 hours. Eldoret to Kampala is also available, and the return leg from Kampala to Nairobi can be booked the same way.

Mash Poa covers 62 city-pair routes across Kenya and into Uganda, connecting hubs such as Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Malindi, Lamu, Mtwapa and Kampala. Every route has its own page with fares, journey time and a booking link in the route directory.

Journey times range from about an hour on short coastal hops such as Mombasa to Mtwapa up to 15–17 hours on the longest cross-country trips such as Busia to Mombasa. The exact duration for your route is listed on its route page and on the fares table.

Long-distance trips of ten hours or more are scheduled as overnight departures, generally between 9:30 PM and 10:15 PM. Shorter routes have several daytime and evening options, typically 8:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM and late evening. Live departure options for your date appear as soon as you search.

Yes. After you pick a departure you get a full seat map of the coach showing which seats are already taken, which are standard and which are VIP. Tap the seats you want and the total updates instantly before you confirm.

Yes. Switch the trip type to round trip on the booking form before you search and the fare shown covers both legs of the journey.

Mash Poa coaches are fitted with free Wi-Fi, power outlets at the seats, extra legroom and VIP seating in the front rows, with reclining seats and onboard entertainment on the long-distance fleet.

Pickup points are listed for your departure city once you start a booking. Nairobi alone offers dozens, including River Road, Tearoom, Eastleigh, South C, Westlands, Kikuyu, Naivasha, Nakuru, Mlolongo, Machakos Junction, Emali and Mtito Andei, so you can join the bus at the stop closest to you.
